Contributing to local value creation
|
Our goal is to positively impact the communities in which we operate, both directly
and indirectly. We strive to employ local labour, identify needs in the local communities
for our community development programmes, and maintain open and transparent dialogue
with relevant stakeholders. Community engagement is an important part of our approach
as it allows us to understand stakeholders' views and expectations. Consultation
with neighbours and the community is underway and will be ongoing as the development
progresses.

Clean and sustainable energy
|
Bison Energy develops, builds, operates and owns solar power plants that generate
clean and reliable electricity. Electricity is vital for the economic growth of
nations. We strive to increase access to clean, affordable and renewable electricity
generation in emerging markets.
|
Environmental impact assessments
|
Careful consideration is given to the way in which our solar projects are constructed.
Environmental impact assessments play a key part in ensuring our projects integrate
harmoniously into their surroundings.
|
Developing a local and skilled workforce
|
Our partnerships typically span the entire lifecycle of a project, often upwards
of 20 years. This long-term commitment ensures we establish a local and skilled
workforce to maintain our projects for the duration. We are global leaders in solar
operations and maintenance.
|
Visual appearance
|
Typically, solar farm developments are relatively unobtrusive as they are low profile.
Solar panels will be installed at the same height or lower than other existing features
in the landscape and vegetation screens will be planted where needed to protect
the amenity of nearby residents.
