Tokyo, Japan – January 16, 2026 – Bison Energy Group (“Bison Energy”), announces the completion of the sale of its Australia and New Zealand renewable energy development portfolio to I Squared Capital, as part of the Company’s disciplined capital rotation strategy and ongoing effort to optimize portfolio focus across regions.
The transaction represents a further deepening of the strategic relationship between Bison Energy and I Squared Capital, following their earlier collaboration in Japan. The expansion of this partnership into Australia and New Zealand underscores I Squared Capital’s confidence in Bison’s development track record and seeks to reinforce Bison Energy’s position as a repeatable platform builder for global infrastructure investors.
Bison Energy has successfully established a diversified and scalable pipeline of solar, battery energy storage system(BESS), and hybrid renewable energy projects across Australia and New Zealand. The portfolio, comprising approximately 2 GW of development assets across multiple sites, has been transitioned to a successor platform under new ownership, supported by long-term institutional capital to advance projects through their next stages of execution.
For Bison Energy, the transaction reflects a successful realization of development value created over multiple years. The Company has built strong project foundations, regulatory pathways, and local stakeholder relationships across the ANZ region, positioning the assets for efficient scale-up under dedicated infrastructure ownership.
