Three BESS Projects Win Bid
in the Long-Term Decarbonization Auction
Bison energy Co.,Ltd. (headquartered in Tokyo, Japan; Hengbo Zhang, CEO) is pleased to announce that three of its battery energy storage system (BESS) projects (total installed capacity: 195,753 kW) has successfully won the bid in the Long-Term Decarbonization Auction *1.
This auction is a bidding system introduced in 2023 by the Organization for Cross-regional Coordination of Transmission Operators, JAPAN (OCCTO). Aiming to stabilize the power supply and realizing a decarbonized society, the successful bidders will supply electricity for 20 years while receiving subsidies for the initial construction and operating costs of the power plant. This will enable long-term profit forecasting and support the achievement of carbon neutrality in 2050.
